Agriculture is the sector which has many significance to human beings, firstly from agriculture is where we get food to eat,milk to drink and even making money from it.Pumpkin farming is one of them, although many people do not see it with moneyy.

To cultivate pumpkins, start by selecting a sunny location with well-drained soil and a pH between 6 and 7. Plant seeds directly in the ground after the last frost, spacing them about 3-5 feet apart. Water them regularly and fertilize every 2-3 weeks. As the plants grow, use a trellis or stakes to support the vines.Pumpkin grow at along space since they scater themselves from the ground.Harvest pumpkins when they are fully grown and the skin is hard.

Pumpkins are a good source of vitamin A and are low in calories, making them a healthy addition to a diet. They also contain antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds which may help to protect against certain diseases.Doctors do recommend the eating of pumpkin especially when cooked.

Profitability of pumpkin farming depends on the scale of the operation, the demand for pumpkins in the local market, and the cost of production. If grown on a small scale, pumpkins can be sold at farmers markets or to local stores for a profit.One pumpkin can weight upto 10kgs when ready and 1kg of pumpkin is sold at 85/= kenyan shillings.If grown on a larger scale, they can be sold to supermarkets or processed into pumpkin puree for use in food products. Pumpkins are also used for Halloween decoration and are in high demand during October.
